For Toronto People

May I ask, why do Toronto suck donkey balls when it comes to tourism??? To me, I find that Toronto is more of a very crowded city and lots of shitty freeways and nothing exciting to show what Toronto really means except CN Tower. I mean look at Vancouver, I went to Capilano Suspension Bridge, decent public transport with a trip planner on their website, downtown, yaletown, chinatown, gastown, granville island, Queen Elizabeth Park...... the list goes on. I can find decent things to do in Vancouver but why can't I find decent things to do in Toronto beside wandering around downtown and outer part of Toronto. Toronto is a big yawn!!!! I certainly would like to do my research in Vancouver but I haven't travel other parts of the world yet.

Because Toronto is WAY bigger then Vancouver. Other cities around in Toronto are sometimes included when 'Toronto' is mentioned... the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Yes, transit sucks but that's old news. But like I said, there are plenty of things in Toronto but you just need to know where. Chinatown was one and I only took you to a part of it. There's the Toronto Zoo close to where I live. Not to mention that if you travel from East end Toronto to the West end, it takes over an hour... by car on the highway, traffic-free.

Also stores have stayed outside of Toronto due to those property tax stuff...

There's Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, Ontario Science Centre, Metro Toronto Zoo, Hockey Hall of Fame, Bata Shoe Museum... there are other stuff in other cities... SquareOne (a mall) and Playdium (game) in Mississagua (about 15min away from downtown Toronto), Vaughan Mills Mall, Dave & Buster's (30min away from downtown Toronto). There is also a Open Door thing coming up in May where some places are opened for visitors (http://www.doorsopen.org/). There are also sporting events year round... Blue Jays baseball and then Argonaunt football in a few months. Leafs hockey and Raptor's basketball in the winter. There's also a variety of even that happens at the Metro Convention Centre; ranging from car show to sci-fi convention to beauty and bride show. Don't forget there were the Toronto Film Festival (similar to the Cannes). If you're into racing then there's the Molson Indy in July... as well as Pride Toronto and Caribana. There's a Taste of the Danforth which is an eating festival.

There is ALWAYS something happening year round... the problem is knowing what that thing is and where it is.

Yeah well, I ain't payin to see stuff. I rather pay to do things but not see stuff. They're just things in display windows.

As for sport, I rather play it, not watch it as it bores me to death.
