Shuswap Lake to Banff

We had blueberry and apple pancake for breakfast before heading out to Banff. Few of us went for a morning walk including me to have a look at beaver habitat. It was huge.

Our First stop was Roger Pass.

Rogers Pass (Selkirk Mountains) - see spectacular glaciers and towering mountain peaks! Stop at the Info Centre and learn about bears, the Snow Wars and much, much more.

It has been raining all morning.......

Our next stop was Kicking Horse River..... in the snow......yep it was snowing.....

British Columbia's Kicking Horse River descends swiftly from the ice fields of the Canadian Rockies, slows briefly into a broad, U-shaped valley, then plunges wildly to its Columbia River confluence.

We saw an elk grazing along the highway...... about 10 mins from Banff. Beautiful snow capped mountain with water rushing along the bank of the river..... beautiful sight.....
