Vancouver to Shuswap Lake

Boarded the Moose Bus at 8:40am. Our first stop was at Bridal Veil Falls.

Bridal Veil Falls - These falls, 60 metres high, cascade down into classic west coast rainforest vegetation. Named for its resemblance to a bride's wedding veil.

We played a game called Pow wow where we get to know their name, where they come from and why they are on this trip. It was funny.

Next stop was at Hope for Lunch. We went to Blue Moose and I had Veggie Pizza and hot apple cidar.

Hope - Rambo fans will be interested to know that this was the site of filming for the movie First Blood.

Next stop was at Alexandra Bridge.

Alexandra Bridge - Visit a provincial historic site! The Alexandra Bridge was originally built in 1863, as part of the Cariboo Wagon Road, the first road of any major proportion in British Columbia.

Shauna, our driver asked us to make a guess how many tunnels we will go through from Vancouver to Banff. I wrote 3. I was wrong........ So far we counted 7 tunnels.

Along the way, we saw a Big Horn Sheep grazing on the side of the highway.

Finally we arrived in Shushwap Lake.

Shuswap Lake - The Shuswap is a popular summer destination, particularly for weekend "houseboating" trips.

We all borrowed a bike and rode to the lake. 5 crazy UK people decided to take a icy plunge in the lake. BRRRRR!!!

We had dinner and few drink in the pub below the hostel.

Apparently the weather is like summer to some of the people that come from the UK. They must have pretty tough skin!

I am glad your trip is going extremely well.
